This review of BORNEM TRIPLE is the first of 4 BrewViews from our beer tastings from BROUWERIJ VAN STEENBERGE. We have had this beer many times over the years since it became available here in California, but realized we never posted an official review on it. This is our BrewView for Bornem Triple.

Very dry, almost peppery. Very little sweetness.
MOUTHFEEL / PALATE:
Astringent, almost alkaline. dryness hits the back of the tongue. The dryness lingers for quite a while.
FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
APPETIZERS: Salads with light vinaigrettes.
ENTRÈES: Kip met frieten en appelmoes / Poulet-frites-compote (chicken, fries and apple sauce).
DESSERTS: Poached pears with Belgian candi sugar.
Bornem Triple is well made. For those that like their triples on the dryer side, this one is for you.
